Adjust your resting position for comfort. Bases with foot lift also let you support bent knees while reclining, which some people find more comfortable for their lower back.
Rest with your upper body raised
Upper-body elevation may help some adults manage nighttime acid reflux. An adjustable base makes that position easier to find; ask your clinician which position is right for you.
Give your legs a lift
A base with foot lift can make leg elevation easier. Elevating the legs may help reduce fluid pooling and some swelling when recommended by a clinician. Head-only bases do not provide foot lift.

How do I choose between Medium and Medium Hybrid?
The Medium has a foam base and a closer contouring sensation. The Medium Hybrid adds individually wrapped springs for a more responsive feel. Trying both in person can help you decide which feel you prefer.
Will this mattress help reduce partner movement?
TEMPUR Material absorbs movement to help limit motion transfer. Both models offer this benefit; individual sleep experiences vary.
Does Adapt have cooling technology?
Both models have a cool-to-the-touch cover. Adapt is not a Breeze mattress, and no specific degree-of-cooling claim is made for these models.
Can I use an adjustable base?
Yes. Both work with a compatible adjustable power base. A base is sold separately unless you select a mattress and base configuration.
Can I use my existing bed frame?
Check its dimensions and support before buying. Use a firm, elevated foundation or suitable platform with adequate center support. Manufacturer guidance requires structurally sound slats at least 3 inches wide and no more than 4 inches apart. Traditional spring box springs and placement directly on the floor are not approved. See the manufacturer support guidance before choosing a base.
Can I wash the cover?
The Adapt cover is spot-clean only. Follow its care label. Never wash or saturate the TEMPUR material. The washable-cover feature offered on some other Tempur models does not apply to Adapt.
Do I need to flip or rotate it?
No. Tempur-Pedic uses a one-sided sleeping design and says its mattresses do not need flipping or rotating. Transport and store the mattress flat, and avoid heated blankets or heating pads as recommended by the manufacturer.
What is a Split King?
A Split King uses two Twin XL mattresses side by side. With a compatible split adjustable base, each side can adjust independently. Confirm the selected configuration includes the mattress pair and the base arrangement you want.
What warranty comes with it?
A new mattress purchased from an authorized retailer has a 10-year limited manufacturer warranty covering eligible defects, subject to the full terms and proper support. A warranty is different from a comfort exchange or return policy. Keep your receipt and law tag.
What are Bedding Mart’s delivery and comfort policies?
Review Bedding Mart’s current delivery and comfort-policy pages or speak with a Sleep Expert before ordering. Manufacturer-direct offers and trial terms do not automatically apply to a Bedding Mart purchase.
Warranty and care

Limited construction coverage applies to the original purchaser of a new mattress for the term stated for that model. Structurally defective products may be replaced using materials of equal or greater value.
Support requirements
Use a new foundation, a platform or another rigid surface, or a powered adjustable base. A previously used foundation voids coverage. King and California King frames require a rigid center rail and six legs reaching the floor.

Use a structurally sound support system. When using slats without an additional foundation, slats must be at least 3 inches wide and no more than 4 inches apart.

Your mattress cover
TEMPUR-Adapt covers are spot-clean only. Do not machine-wash the cover. Follow the sewn-in care label for your specific mattress.
Protect the TEMPUR material
Do not wash or soak the TEMPUR material. If a spill occurs, remove the bedding and absorb excess moisture; allow the mattress to dry fully before covering it again.
Everyday care
The mattress does not need flipping or rotating. Electric blankets and heating pads are not recommended because added heat can interfere with the material’s response to body temperature.
Moving & storage
Transport and store the mattress flat. Use handles only for positioning, not carrying the mattress.

Support for your Tempur-Pedic mattress
A solid, elevated surface
Use a solid, elevated support surface capable of supporting the mattress and sleepers. Tempur-Pedic recommends its flat foundations or adjustable bases. Improper support can void the warranty.
Slatted frames & platforms
A slatted frame may be suitable when its slats are structurally sound, at least 3 inches wide and no more than 4 inches apart, and can support the mattress and occupants.
Bases to avoid
Traditional spring box springs have too much give. Tempur-Pedic also advises against plywood, futon bases, bunkie boards and placing the mattress directly on the floor; these can damage the mattress or affect warranty coverage.
Murphy / wall beds
The flat wooden frame must support the mattress and sleepers and meet the same slat requirements. Tempur-Pedic recommends keeping the mattress flat and horizontal instead of folding it into the wall each morning.
