THE FAMILY BED BY TAYLOR & WELLS®
Movie nights. Bedtime stories. Lazy Sundays. Room to make your family’s everyday moments a little bigger.
COMFORT FOR EVERYDAY LIFE
Your bed. Your family. Your rules.
An oversized sleeping surface for stretching out, lounging and being together.
Gel memory foam offers close, body-conforming cushioning.
Cool-to-the-touch cover with a removable, washable design.
A high-density foam core provides dependable support.
Made in the USA with CertiPUR-US® certified foams.
Adjustable base friendly, with configurations available in the selector above.
Every Family Bed features two independent support modules, allowing each side to be customized for a standard or firmer feel. If one sleeper prefers more firmness, simply flip the support module on that side 180° before reassembling the bed. The other side can remain in its standard orientation.
OVERSIZED, THOUGHTFULLY PROPORTIONED
When the goal is more room for the people sleeping beside you, width is the dimension that matters. Extra length at the foot cannot give each sleeper more side-by-side room. Both Family Bed sizes are wider than an Alaskan King, putting additional space across the bed—where your family shares the sleeping surface.
108″ wide × 108″ long
81 sq fttotal mattress surface
At 9 feet wide and 9 feet long, an Alaskan King devotes a substantial part of its footprint to length. That can be useful for sleepers who need it. But its additional 28 inches of length compared with the 10ft Family Bed do not increase the width available to family members sleeping beside one another.
120″ wide × 80″ long
66.7 sq ft*total mattress surface
The 10ft Family Bed gives your family 12 more inches of width while using 28 fewer inches of room length. Although its total surface area is smaller, its sleeping surface is wider. For families comfortable with an 80-inch mattress length, that is a more efficient way to gain room beside one another: additional width you can use, without accommodating an extra 28 inches at the foot.
144″ wide × 84″ long
84 sq fttotal mattress surface
The XL gives your family 3 additional feet of width and 3 more square feet of total surface than an Alaskan King. Its 84-inch length also uses 2 feet less room length. You get the larger sleeping surface, with more of its dimensions extending across the bed for side-by-side sleeping. Your bedroom must still accommodate its full 12-foot width.
If your family feels crowded across the mattress, additional width directly addresses that problem. Choose the 10ft Family Bed for a wider sleeping surface in a shorter overall length, or the 12ft XL for even more width and more total surface area than an Alaskan King. The advantage is where the space goes: beside your family, rather than additional length beyond your feet.
*“Rarely used” refers to sleepers who do not need the additional mattress length; individual use varies. 10ft area rounded from 66⅔ sq ft. Mattress outlines use the same scale; people are schematic and do not predict fit. Actual usable space depends on sleepers’ heights, positions and preferences. Alaskan King comparison uses 108″ × 108″. Measure your room, access route and desired clearance before ordering.

BUILT FOR TODAY · BUILT FOR WHAT COMES NEXT
Bedtime stories. Movie-night pile-ins. Slow Sunday mornings. The three-box modular design makes room for family life—and a little flexibility for whatever comes next.
Three boxes come together to create one wonderfully oversized sleeping space. Bring the components inside separately, then assemble them in your bedroom—making doorways, corners and stairs easier to navigate than moving one giant mattress.
Measure your room and access route, confirm the support system for your size and have another adult help with lifting and positioning. Follow the included assembly instructions.

Family life happens. If a support component becomes worn, defective or damaged in shipping, our team can help review replacement options for that piece. The modular design may let you care for one component while keeping the rest of your Family Bed.
Think beyond the family pile-in. If you move on from the full Family Bed, its support pieces can be used individually as mattresses. Our team can help you check each piece’s dimensions and the right covering, bedding and support for its next chapter.
Our team can help you compare Original and Hybrid comfort, confirm your Family Bed size and support system, and talk through delivery and purchase terms before you order.

The Family Bed provides a limited, non-prorated construction warranty for 10 years from the date of original purchase when placed on a platform bed or other rigid surface. Purchaser should retain their bill of sale as verification of purchase. Purchaser must be able to verify purchase date, purchase price, serial number from law tag, model name and size to obtain service with this warranty. Warranty is valid for original purchaser only. If found to be structurally defective, manufacturer reserves the right to substitute materials of equal or greater value in the replacement of this product.
Warranty does not apply to ticking/cover. Warranty is valid only for original purchaser, when the mattress is purchased in new condition. Mattress must rest on appropriate frame, platform bed or other rigid surface. In Twin, Full and Queen, any of the following options meet warranty requirements: (A) Using a frame which has a rigid center support with a fifth leg that reaches the floor; (B) Using bed rails with at least 10 wooden bed slats; (C) Using a solid platform; (D) Using a bed base with three rigid steel cross supports. All King and California King sizes should be placed on a frame or bed rails that feature a rigid center rail and six legs that reach the floor to maintain the warranty. Body impressions less than 1.5" in depth are consistent with normal use of this mattress and are not covered by this warranty. Warrantor is not responsible for any incidental or consequential damages resulting from the use of warrantor's product. Warrantor reserves the right to refuse service and to void the warranty when the product upon inspection is: found to be in an unsanitary condition; has received obvious misuse; when product failure is due to causes other than defective workmanship or material. The presence of blood, urine or fecal stains automatically voids the customers warranty. Damage to fabric caused by heat sources such as ironing on the bed, curling irons, electric space heaters, open flames such as from a fireplace or candle, or by smoking in bed are not covered by this warranty. This bed is not guaranteed to fit a particular sheet size or depth. Dissatisfaction with the comfort level (firmness or softness) of a specific sleep set is not a valid warranty concern. Never allow children to jump on your mattress.
Do not attempt to turn or position The Family Bed mattress by yourself. This could cause personal injury and result in damage to your mattress. Even though The Family Bed is manufactured to meet CPSC 16 CFR Section 1633 standards for flammability, do not smoke in bed or expose your mattress to open flame(s). This product is combustible.
The Limited Warranty set forth herein is the only warranty for The Family Bed and may not be modified by any retail store or retail store employee, or employee of The Family Bed. You may also have specific legal rights which vary from state to state. The Family Bed does not allow or authorize any person to create for it any other obligation or liability in connection with this warranty.
A determination by The Family Bed that a warranty problem exists does not automatically guarantee that you, the consumer, will receive a brand new mattress. You the consumer must pay any associated shipping costs prior to the replacement of a mattress that exhibits a manufacturer's defect covered by this warranty.
The Family Bed is specifically engineered to be used in combination with a NEW foundation, or on a platform bed, or other rigid surface, or a powered adjustable bed base. Your warranty is void if you use The Family Bed with any previously used foundation.

Manufacturer warranty highlights
Limited construction coverage applies to the original purchaser of a new mattress for the term stated for that model. Structurally defective products may be replaced using materials of equal or greater value.
Use a new foundation, a platform or another rigid surface, or a powered adjustable base. A previously used foundation voids coverage. King and California King frames require a rigid center rail and six legs reaching the floor.
The cover, comfort preference and body impressions under 1.5 inches are excluded. Unsanitary conditions, misuse, certain stains and commercial use can void coverage.
Keep your receipt and law tag. Claims require the purchase date, price, serial number, model and size. Covered defects do not automatically mean a brand-new mattress; associated shipping costs must be paid before replacement.

A new mattress purchased from Tempur-Pedic or an authorized retailer has 10 years of limited coverage. Tempur-Pedic repairs or replaces products it determines have a covered defect. Eligible removable covers also have 10-year coverage for material or workmanship faults.
Use a structurally sound support system. When using slats without an additional foundation, slats must be at least 3 inches wide and no more than 4 inches apart.
Liquid-related damage, deterioration or degradation is excluded, including damage from spills, bodily fluids, cleaning products or other moisture. The complete policy lists additional exclusions.
Provide your receipt, a description of the problem and photos or recordings documenting the suspected defect. Contact Tempur-Pedic promptly within the warranty period. Associated transportation costs are generally your responsibility, except where applicable law requires otherwise.

Manufacturer warranty highlights
The manufacturer’s limited warranty covers qualifying manufacturing defects under normal use and proper handling. The warranty code on the mattress law tag determines the term and any deductible schedule.
Use a firm, solid-surface, non-spring foundation or an adjustable base capable of supporting both the mattress and sleepers. Continuous support is required; the manufacturer may request evidence of the support system.
Coverage depends on the complete policy and law-tag code. The number before the slash identifies years without a deductible; the number after it identifies the total warranty term. For example, 5/10 means five years without a deductible within a ten-year term.
Retain your original sales receipt and law tag. The receipt establishes the purchase date. Transportation costs for covered repairs or replacements may remain your responsibility. Bedding Mart can help you identify the applicable warranty and start a claim.

For mattresses purchased after February 1, 2025, coverage is limited lifetime for the original owner buying from Helix or an authorized retailer. Earlier purchases follow their original terms. Years 1–10 cover qualifying repairs or replacement at no cost; later replacements are prorated at 50% of current retail in years 11–15, 60% in years 16–20 and 75% from year 21.
A firm, structurally sound base is required. For adult Helix mattresses, slat spacing greater than 5.5 inches voids coverage.
Covered defects include qualifying indentations greater than 1.5 inches, foam or spring splitting/cracking, and cover assembly defects. Normal softening is excluded. Removing the mattress cover voids warranty claims.
Keep your receipt. The warranty is non-transferable and a replacement does not restart the original warranty period. Bedding Mart can help with a claim for a mattress purchased here.

Tempur-Pedic manufacturer guidance
Current ProAdapt, LuxeAdapt, ProBreeze and LuxeBreeze models have removable, washable covers. Follow your model’s care label; Tempur-Pedic recommends cold washing and cool drying.
Do not wash or soak the TEMPUR material. If a spill occurs, remove the bedding and absorb excess moisture; allow the mattress to dry fully before covering it again.
The mattress does not need flipping or rotating. Electric blankets and heating pads are not recommended because added heat can interfere with the material’s response to body temperature.
Transport and store the mattress flat. Use handles only for positioning, not carrying the mattress.
Highlights from Tempur-Pedic’s published guidance, checked October 25, 2026. Follow the care label for your exact model. Full manufacturer instructions and warranty terms apply.
Tempur-Pedic manufacturer guidance
Use a solid, elevated support surface capable of supporting the mattress and sleepers. Tempur-Pedic recommends its flat foundations or adjustable bases. Improper support can void the warranty.
A slatted frame may be suitable when its slats are structurally sound, at least 3 inches wide and no more than 4 inches apart, and can support the mattress and occupants.
Traditional spring box springs have too much give. Tempur-Pedic also advises against plywood, futon bases, bunkie boards and placing the mattress directly on the floor; these can damage the mattress or affect warranty coverage.
The flat wooden frame must support the mattress and sleepers and meet the same slat requirements. Tempur-Pedic recommends keeping the mattress flat and horizontal instead of folding it into the wall each morning.
